Jacky Bonnot, a young misunderstood gastronomy virtuoso, gets fired from wherever he works as a cook. Forced to take up a job as a painter in a retirement home, Jacky cannot keep away from the kitchen. By chance, Alexandre Lagarde, the three star Chef owner of many fine-dining restaurants, happens to taste his creations. Jacky gets hired on the spot.
Daniel Cohen “pokes fun at the restaurant world” (Variety) with a fresh, original recipe. “Take a comedian (a spoonful of Michael Youn). Add a “big movie icon” (a good Jean Reno). Mix in everything together into the Parisian restaurant setting, add a few character actors to spice it up. Sprinkle with a few skits; introduce good lines. For a classic gravy, add a pinch of love story and you get a good family comedy!” (Ciné Média).
An appetizing comedy that will tickle your taste buds. Once you’ve drunk up the movie, all you want to do is eat!
