Marc, a provincial conceited insurance broker, hires a hit man in order to kill his unfaithful, domineering wife Mathilde… In the course of one night, the small time gangster shows Marc the ropes especially by teaching him how to successfully rob a jewellery store. The loot of the robbery will be used to pay for his wife’s murder.
This small budget comedy leans on a very humorous, biting dialogue scripted by the filmmaker himself, Philippe Carrese who usually pens thrillers.
“…a Beckett-like dialogue that will practically not stop in spite of the regular occurrence of zany situations played by other actors” (Samy Bennaoui, Clapmag).
The actors Didier Bénureau and Simon Astier are a hilarious comedy duo playing it with a disconcerting ease.
“A feeling of Z series films, dialogues leaning towards Georges Lautner, a cynical humour in the Bertrand Blier style (…) A strange cocktail mix in idleness (in the rhythm) and exhilarating absurdity” (Jacques Morice, Télérama)
